DESCRIPTION:
I wanted to monitor the temperature in our cold office (not cold anymore). I found a relatively low cost sensor (UbiBot WS1) that made it easy. It’s only $83 when most are $200-300. Plus this uses Wi-Fi, is battery powered, and sends data to the cloud where I can easily retrieve it using their API. I used a groovy DataSource using batchscript.
DEMO:
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Download this DataSource file and import it into your account (Settings > DataSources > Add > From file )
- Get the API key from UbiBot Control panel (under Account > Security) and add it as a property called ubibot_api.key on a Collector or other device where you want to see it.
- It should apply and show up. Test by looking at the “Raw Data” tab
